Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in Astana

Under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev, a regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was held.

During the event, issues of preparation for the 6th meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, chaired by the heads of state as part of the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to Kazakhstan, were considered
April 18-19, 2024.

The heads of foreign affairs agencies discussed current aspects of bilateral cooperation. Mutual commitment was expressed to further deepen and expand allied relations on the basis of friendship, brotherhood, mutual respect and good neighborliness.

The ministers also “synchronized watches” on current issues on the regional and international agenda, noted constructive cooperation within the framework of multilateral structures, as well as mutual support for the international initiatives of the two states.

Following the meeting, the heads of foreign affairs agencies initialed the draft Decision of the 6th meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
