As part of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Sakha, the exhibition “Treasures of Yakutia” opened at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The exhibition includes four sections: “Embroidered map of the Republic of Sakha”, “The cult of the horse in the culture of the peoples of Eurasia”, “Treasury of Yakutia” and “Blacksmith’s craft of Yakutia”.
Visitors to the exhibition will be able to view exclusive, original works by masters of decorative and applied arts of Yakutia and get acquainted with a wide variety of traditional knives made from rare materials inlaid with precious stones.
The central place in the exhibition is occupied by a scattering of more than two thousand diamonds on a silver plate - the composition “The Shining of Diamonds”.
The exhibition will run until May 1, 2024.
Events dedicated to the Days of the Republic of Sakha in Kazakhstan will be held in Astana and Almaty.
Thus, in the chamber hall of the State National Kazakh Musical and Drama Theater named after Kalibek Kuanyshbaev, a concert of the violin ensemble “Virtuosos of Yakutia” and Olonkho’s opera “Nurgun Bootur” are planned; in the hall of the Russian Drama Theater named after Maxim Gorky, Olonkho’s performance “Kyys Dabilie” will be held.
Concerts and performances will also be organized in the halls of state theaters in Almaty.
