Three drones arrived in Atyrau from USA to deliver humanitarian aid in a flood situation.
Today, representatives of ARC Drones are in the city of Atyrau and, together with employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, are ready to carry out work on the emergency transfer of food, medicine and other vital supplies to the most remote and inaccessible places.
“By using these drones, we want to minimize the risks for rescuers and volunteers. Another important point is to use drones to collect water samples for analysis. I hope that the emergency use of drones will not be needed in the near future and the situation with floods in our country will normalize,” said Minister Bagdat Musin.
ARC Drones, an American startup with Kazakh founders Alibek Ertai and Asel Tursun, is providing its autonomous drones to help fight floods in Kazakhstan. As part of a partnership with the Astana hub technology park, ARC Drones is providing three unmanned drones for the efficient delivery of medical supplies, humanitarian aid, food and other emergency goods to remote and hard-to-reach areas.
Drones can deliver assistance within a radius of 10 km and weighing up to 30-40 kg. There are currently 3 aircraft in Kazakhstan and they can perform up to 100 flights per day.
The solution for delivering goods using autonomous drones provides:
- Instant and continuous delivery of cargo with a carrying capacity of 20 kg and within a radius of 10 km, even in flood conditions;
- Quick response to urgent medical and humanitarian requests;
- Delivery of vital medical materials (blood, vaccines or life-saving medicines) to the most remote and inaccessible places;
- Minimizing risks for rescuers and volunteers;
- Maximum efficiency, transporting large volumes of materials in one trip or up to 100 trips per day from one station;
- Support in collecting water samples for analysis. For example, drones can be used to transport microbiology samples from field clinics to laboratories for testing, since transporting samples by motorcycle can be prohibitively slow.
It should be noted that these unmanned drones carry out free delivery of humanitarian aid with the active support of Kazakh startups from the United States, and, in addition, the use of these drones is also free.
