In Atyrau, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions, flood control measures, liquidation of flood consequences and assistance to the population continue.

In Akzhaik, Baiterek, Burlinsky, Terektinsky districts of the West Kazakhstan region, monitoring of the water level of the Zhaiyk River continues, and a gradual decline is observed. No new cases of flooding of houses and dachas were registered. The search of country houses for remaining residents continues.

Along the Zhaiyk River in Erkinkalinsky, Almalinsky, Atyrau, Dambinsky, Kairshaktinsky rural districts and in the village of Bereke in the city of Atyrau, bank protection work is continuously carried out. Protective dams with a length of 229.6 km were strengthened.

The assigned forces and assets of the consolidated groups of the Emergency Situations Departments of the Kyzylorda and Mangistau regions and military unit 52859 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were redeployed from the West Kazakhstan region to the Atyrau region to carry out flood control measures.

Water was diverted and pumped from 5,987 residential buildings and 2,584 courtyard areas in the North Kazakhstan, Atyrau and Aktobe regions. Across the republic, 31,416 people returned to their homes. 8,560 people remain in evacuation centers, of which 3,717 are children.

More than 11.9 million m3 of melt water were pumped out, 5.6 million bags and 1.5 million tons of inert material were laid.

The hotline received 2,216 calls.

In total, over 31 thousand people and 4 thousand pieces of equipment, 763 water pumping equipment, 298 watercraft, and 14 aircraft are involved in rescue and flood control work.
