“Dear conference participants, I congratulate you on the opening of the international conference “Golden Horde and Its Heritage”! The Golden Horde went down in history as a huge power that formed a unique model of statehood in Central Eurasia. Kazakhstan is the direct successor of this great state, which had a huge influence on the national political and economic situation in the Middle Ages. The Ulus of Jochi especially contributed to the rapid development of the civilization of the Great Steppe, the exchange of ideas and technologies of the West and the East, and the cultural rapprochement of different peoples. Now intensive work is being carried out on an in-depth study of historical data and scientific information about the Golden Horde, and its comprehensive popularization. It is necessary to support the efforts of qualified specialists and researchers from different countries. Thanks to this work, we can achieve great results in this direction.I am confident that today’s conference is an important step in studying the multifaceted heritage of the Ulus of Jochi. I wish you success in the conference!” the congratulatory letter says.

The rector of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H. Yasawi Zhanar Temirbekova also delivered a welcoming speech; she noted that during the international conference, modern trends in the study of the political, cultural and social history of the Eurasian continent will be highlighted.

First, the guests visited the book and art exhibition “Altyn Orda”. During the conference, a discussion was held in two plenary sessions - “History of the Golden Horde: new approaches and methods in modern research” and “Historical and cultural symbiosis of nomads and farmers in archaeological research of the Golden Horde: tasks, features and prospects.” At the plenary session, scientists made presentations on various topics.

It is planned that as part of the conference, participants and guests will visit a monument of medieval architecture - the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi - and the sights of the city.

The main goal of the conference is to create an open platform for the exchange of views on new conceptual approaches and trends in the study of this topic and the possibility of organizing joint scientific research. Representatives of the academic and modern scientific and educational community will be able to discuss the role and significance of the Golden Horde in world history.
