Work continues on a multi-volume book on the history of Kazakhstan

In Almaty at the Institute of Archeology named after. A.H.Margulan held a meeting between the State Counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Karin and leading scientists working on the creation of a new academic publication “History of Kazakhstan from ancient times to the present day.”

The preparation of a multi-volume history of Kazakhstan, meeting the most modern scientific approaches, was initiated by the President of the country in January 2021 in his article “Independence above all.”

The State Advisor was informed about the progress of work on the multi-volume volume by the Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, as well as the heads and members of the editorial boards of the volumes - the General Director of the Institute of Archeology. Valikhanova Ziyabek Kabuldinov, Deputy Director of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after. C.H. Valikhanova Shamek Tleubaev, deputy director of the Institute of History of the State of Burkitbai Ayagan.

Following the meeting, Erlan Karin summed up the interim results of the development of an academic multi-volume publication on the history of Kazakhstan.Assessing the degree of readiness of the multi-volume work, the State Advisor noted that the implementation of this scientific project requires an exclusively rational and objective approach, a comprehensive study of all historical facts, materials and documents, and the introduction into circulation of scientific discoveries of recent years.

The project involves 5 scientific institutes, more than 250 Kazakh and more than 60 foreign historians. The multi-volume volume will include materials from more than 40 archaeological studies, about 300 publications on history, archeology and ethnography. As part of the preparation of the multi-volume volume, sections were held at international forums, a number of scientific conferences, round tables and methodological seminars, at which scientific research results were tested and recommendations were received from scientists, experts and specialists.
