On May 1, National Unity Day, more than 2,000 events will be held in the regions of the country.

The capital will host the “Birligimiz Zharaskan” concert, organized by the State Academic Concert Organization “Kazakhconcert” named after Rosa Baglanova. The ensembles “Gulder” and “Birlik” will present mass and solo choreographic compositions.

In the Turkestan region, in the National Historical and Cultural Reserve "Ordabasy" an open day "Yntymak - dostyk kepil" will be held.

A traveling archaeological exhibition “Tarikh ayasyndagy kone Taraz” will be held in Taraz, where unique and valuable museum exhibits will be presented. The exhibition will be organized by the state historical and cultural museum-reserve “Ezhelgi Taraz Eskertkeshteri”.

In the East Kazakhstan region, in the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Berel" a book exhibition "May 1 - Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan" will open.

National games among youth will be organized in the Ulytau region, and an ethnofest and a national cuisine festival “Ak Bauyrsak” will be held in the Abay region.

The Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan is a public holiday celebrated annually since 1996. Over the years, the holiday has become a good tradition that unites all Kazakhstanis.

More than 120 ethnic groups live in peace and harmony in Kazakhstan. The unity of the people is an indicator of a strong and prosperous state, the basis of which is tolerance and intercultural dialogue.
