According to the agency, in accordance with the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and China, on May 1, 7 and 9, 2024, the movement of people, vehicles and cargo at road checkpoints on the Kazakh-Chinese border will be temporarily suspended. , with the exception of the international center for cross-border cooperation “Khorgas” and railway checkpoints.

At the same time, due to the ongoing reconstruction on the Kazakh-Uzbek border, the Kaplanbek checkpoint was closed, and the movement of people and vehicles at the Tazhen, Atameken and Kazygurt checkpoints was limited.

“Checkpoints on Russian, Kyrgyz and Turkmen routes will operate as usual. Citizens are advised to plan their routes in advance,” the message says.
