The Language Policy Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Scientific and Practical Center "Til-Kazyna" named after Sh. Shayakhmetov organized a republican online seminar on the topic "Monitoring of official Internet resources."

Representatives of government and non-government organizations, press services, website administrators, translators and other specialists responsible for maintaining and filling official websites took part in the republican seminar.

During the meeting, it was noted that within the framework of the realities of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029, monitoring will be carried out on the placement of Kazakh-language content and the use of the state language on official Internet resources of state and non-state organizations. This year, NNPC “Til-Kazyna” will monitor about 100 official Internet resources.

The monitoring is aimed at studying the use of the state language on Internet resources, identifying official sites that do not have a version in the state language, as well as providing assistance in launching their Kazakh-language version. The monitoring also covered the official websites of organizations in various fields of activity, including second-tier banks, airports, public consumption services, public funds, construction companies, travel agencies, as well as private schools, universities and scientific institutions, and training centers.

The seminar participants were given a brief overview of the monitoring results for 2023 and given explanations on the main criteria for monitoring Internet resources and the requirements of national legislation on languages ​​and access to information in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, Internet resources must meet the following requirements: the presence of an official website and home page in the state language, competent writing and high-quality transmission of information in the Kazakh language. In addition, official documents, regulations, orders, official news, press releases, infographics, advertising banners, as well as general information about the activities of the institution (organization), contact details, etc. must be presented on Internet resources in the state language. The seminar participants received detailed answers to their questions and made their proposals aimed at the effective implementation of the project to monitor official Internet resources.
