108 Kandas immigrated to Atyrau region in 5 months

Atyrau. KAZINFORM - Over 5 months, 108 ethnic Kazakhs immigrated to the Atyrau region. The Kandas lived in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As reported by the press service of the Atyrau Regional Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs, all those who returned home from 6 countries received the status of candas by June 1.

“Over 5 months of this year, 89 families from foreign countries moved to the Atyrau region. All these families, i.e. 108 people consisted of ethnic Kazakhs. Ethnic Kazakhs who came to the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purpose of permanent residence received the status of kandas. The number of kandas is 86 members out of 71 who emigrated from the Republic of Uzbekistan. 9 families (10 people) returned from the Russian Federation, 6 families (9 people) from the People’s Republic of China, 3 families (3 people) from Ukraine, Tajikistan and the Republic of Turkmenistan, the department’s press service reported. 
Among the Kandas, 78 families chose to stay in Atyrau. There are 97 people in these families. And 4 families (4 people) chose Zhylyoi district, 1 family (1 person) chose Makhambet district. Also, 2 families (2 people) moved to Makat, 2 families (2 people) to Kurmangazy and 2 families (2 people) to the Indersky district.

“Currently, a temporary placement center for candas operates in the Atyrau region. However, ethnic Kazakhs temporarily residing in this center are not registered. Meanwhile, 43 relatives are on the waiting list for housing. 14 relatives are registered as unemployed in career centers. 1 person was involved in social work, 1 person was involved in social work,” the department’s press service reported.
