The Otandastar Foundation JSC under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and with the support of the IQanat Foundation, opened a summer ethno camp for children of ethnic Kazakhs living abroad.
The Otandastar Foundation is organizing the summer ethno camp "Jas Qazaq" for the fourth time. Previously, more than 400 children of ethnic Kazakhs took part in the events, but this year 255 children of ethnic Kazakhs from Russia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, South Korea and Iran came. Among the participants are Kazakh children from Mongolia, who collected warmth for their Kazakh friends during the emergency, and our kandases, who participated in various competitions of the Society and proved their knowledge and skills.
The camp will be held from June 24 to July 7, 2024 at the IQanat High School of Burabay in Burabay. In two weeks, children will learn the Kazakh language, history and traditions, play musical instruments, master national games, ride horses, build a yurt, and take part in an educational exhibition with the participation of higher educational institutions of the country. But most importantly, they will find friends from many countries of the world.
The official opening ceremony of the camp on June 25 was attended by deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bolat Kerimbek and Nurgul Tau, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Astana Olga Filonova, president of the Otandastar Foundation NAO Daniyar Kadyrov and director of the IQanat school Zaiken Zhanat. The guests expressed their best wishes to the children.
