Turkish students study Kazakh language at Buketov University

The project on teaching the Kazakh language "Ulagat" has started at Buketov Research University. A group of undergraduate, graduate and PhD students led by professor, philologist, head of the department of modern Turkish dialects and literature at Kastamonu University Orhan Soylemez arrived in Karaganda to improve their Kazakh language.

The program on teaching the Kazakh language "Ulagat" is organized with the aim of strengthening ties between the two fraternal countries and two higher education institutions, promoting the Kazakh language, culture, customs and traditions through the implementation of general education programs.

In addition, as Rector Nurlan Dulatbekov noted, the implementation of this project will allow the faculty, PhD and master's students of Buketov University to study the Turkish language and write joint scientific papers with scientists from Kastamonu University.

Students of the Turkish university have already started studying the Kazakh language. On the first day of their stay at the Faculty of Philology, an exhibition of national costumes and jewelry and a master class in handicrafts were organized for them. The program also includes a trip to the Buketov University field training base in Karkaralinsk.

It is expected that within a week they will be able to understand the similarities and differences between the Kazakh and Turkish languages, master the vocabulary used in everyday life, and expand their vocabulary.
