Today there was a meeting between the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balaeva and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China Sun Yeli. During the meeting, issues of strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

Aida Balaeva emphasized that the state visit of President Xi Jinping and his participation in the Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO will give new impetus to the bilateral relations of our countries. She also congratulated the Chinese side on the successful registration of the Chinese Cultural Center in Astana.

“It is important to note that the opening of cultural centers for Kazakhstan and China will be a landmark event. Interaction in this direction will only develop progressively and bring positive results for the peoples of the two countries. I am sure that this cultural platform will provide an opportunity for our peoples to be closer to each other,” said the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Aida Balaeva also noted the readiness of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan to cooperate in the field of archives, the return of historical documents and artifacts related to Kazakhstan in China.

The Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China expressed his readiness to cooperate and emphasized that after agreeing on the program, the Chinese side will begin work and submit documents to the relevant authorities.

“Cultural cooperation between our countries plays a key role in strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between our peoples. We see great potential for joint cultural projects and initiatives,” said Sun Yeli
