Preparations for the V World Nomad Games continue

The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Chyngyz Esengul uulu as part of the 5th World Nomad Games in Astana.

Ermek Marzhikpayev expressed gratitude for the cooperation and noted that 89 countries have already confirmed their participation in sports competitions.

“In preparation for the Games, a license agreement was concluded for the free use of the World Nomad Games logo and brand with the copyright holder, the Public Association “Children's Olympic Village of the Kyrgyz Republic.” In accordance with the recommendations of the Bishkek office of the WNG Secretariat, we took into account a number of mandatory requirements aimed at preserving the traditions of holding the Games. In particular, the logo necessarily contains the element of Water, as the main sacred symbol of the World Congress,” noted the head of tourism and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Ermek Marzhikpayev emphasized that at the opening ceremony of the games, the parade of athletes will be opened by representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic. An anthem written by the famous Kyrgyz composer Emil Kenzhekulov will also be performed.

As part of the sports program of the 5th World Nomad Games in Astana, competitions in 21 sports are planned, where 97 sets of medals will be competed for.

The program of the nomad games includes events in all three areas: sports, culture and science.

Let us remind you that there are 69 days left before the start of the 5th World Nomad Games. The World Nomad Games are included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which will be held in Astana from September 8 to 13. These days, more than 2,000 participants and officials, as well as more than 100 thousand tourists, are expected in the capital. Also, it is planned to involve 1000 volunteers at the Games.
