At the end of the meeting in a narrow format, the President of Kazakhstan and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China held negotiations with the participation of official delegations of the two states.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that he views Xi Jinping’s state visit as clear evidence of the desire to further deepen the Kazakh-Chinese eternal comprehensive strategic partnership.

– Kazakhstan attaches great importance to strengthening the bonds of centuries-old friendship and good neighborliness with China. Through our common efforts, interstate cooperation has been established across the entire spectrum of interaction, which can serve as a model of bilateral relations. We can confidently say that cooperation between countries has entered a new “golden period” of development. Our ties greatly contribute to sustainable socio-economic growth and improved well-being of the two peoples. Last year, mutual trade turnover exceeded $41 billion, a record figure. Currently, 45 joint investment projects are being implemented totaling $14.5 billion in the areas of industry, energy, transport and transit, green economy, agriculture and others. Cultural and humanitarian contacts have also intensified. Your Excellency, Mr. Chairman, would like to emphasize that your personal support plays a decisive role in the implementation of these initiatives, the President said.

According to the Head of our state, Kazakhstan supports China’s peaceful initiatives and highly appreciates its key role and contribution to building a fair world order in accordance with the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter.– We are ready to support in a constructive spirit issues related to the implementation of your initiative “Building a community with a common destiny for humanity.”  Our position on the One China Policy remains unchanged.  We stand for cooperation in the fight against the “forces of three evils” - terrorism, separatism and extremism. We appreciate the continued support of China, which resolutely advocates respect for the sovereignty and independence of all countries. Today, China, as I have already said, is Kazakhstan’s largest trading partner. We have every opportunity to increase mutual trade turnover. Our government will work hard to achieve this goal.  China traditionally occupies a leading position in terms of investment in the economy of Kazakhstan, which over the past 15 years has reached $24 billion. A reciprocal visa-free regime has come into force.  The Year of Tourism of Kazakhstan in China is currently underway.  All these measures give additional impetus to strengthening cooperation between our countries in a variety of areas,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In turn, the Chairman of the PRC emphasized that he is witnessing the dynamic development of our country, and expressed confidence that under the leadership of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Kazakh people will lay the foundations of an even stronger and more prosperous New Kazakhstan.

– The friendship of our countries has taken root since the times of the ancient Silk Road and has been continuously developing over thousands of years. As a result of 32 years of cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations, our bilateral ties have reached an unprecedented level of eternal comprehensive strategic partnership, the leitmotif of which is eternal friendship, deep mutual trust and solidarity. “I would like to confirm that no matter how the international situation changes, our desire to maintain friendship, our determination to develop multifaceted cooperation, our commitment to mutually support each other on key issues and our confidence in achieving national development goals will remain unchanged,” Xi Jinping noted.

In addition, the Chairman of the People's Republic of China supported Kazakhstan's constructive role in the international arena as a middle power.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for the development of investment cooperation in various areas, including e-commerce, production of automobiles and auto parts, transit and transport, logistics, energy, agriculture, finance and tourism.Noting the existence of effective mechanisms for the development of trade and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and the PRC, the state leaders confirmed the readiness of the governments of both countries to provide every possible assistance to the successful implementation of current and promising business projects.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Xi Jinping also exchanged views on issues of deepening interregional cooperation and expanding cultural and humanitarian contacts.
The head of our state supported the opening of a branch of the Beijing Language and Culture University and the “Lu Ban Workshop” and stated that the expansion of scientific and educational ties between the two countries is in line with the spirit of an eternal comprehensive strategic partnership.
