255 children from 7 countries took part in the camp.
The closing ceremony of the 4th shift of the summer ethnic camp “Jas Qazaq”, organized by the Otandastar Foundation in Burabay, took place at IQanat High School of Burabay.
This large-scale event was attended by 255 children from 7 countries, such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, and South Korea. For two weeks they rested on the slopes of Burabay, improved their knowledge of the Kazakh language and history, and studied Kazakh traditions. The camp program included lessons of the Kazakh language and history, dombra playing, archery, yurt construction, national games, and horse riding.
At the closing ceremony of the camp, the children demonstrated their unique abilities and tried to spend their last minutes unforgettably. The dance ensemble "Aigerim" performed the dance "Akbayan", the group "Balausa" performed the song "Saryzhailau". In addition, the melodies “Adai” and “Balbyraun” were recorded, which received thunderous applause.
In his speech, the President of the Otandastar Qory NJSC Daniyar Kadyrov noted that the project is in great demand and announced plans to expand its scope in the future.
“This year, 250 children aged 12-17 came to the camp. We have been running this project for four years. In the future we plan to increase the number of children. We have an idea to make two seasons, each season 2 weeks. We will increase the number of children, because there is great demand from children abroad,” D. Kadyrov said.
During their stay at the camp, the children took part in various competitions in art, education, creativity, sports, etc. Based on the results of the competitive competition, “Kyzyl Orda” was recognized as the best, and team members were awarded medals and commendations.
The winners of an essay competition organized jointly by the Otandastar Qory and the international newspaper TÚRKISTAN were invited to the camp. The newspaper's editor-in-chief, Baurzhan Babazhanuly, came to congratulate the winners and presented them with notebooks with autographs from Dimash Kudaibergen. It was a very happy moment for the children.
A specially invited creative team from the Temirtau Palace of Culture performed beautiful songs and melodies, raising the patriotic spirit of the camp participants. The children really enjoyed their creativity.
This year, Sanjar and Aruna, members of the Volunteer Association created by the Otandastar Qory, helped run the camp as volunteers. Last year they themselves were participants in this camp. The volunteers were awarded the “Best Volunteer” nomination.
