This year, Kazakhstan’s big screens will showcase a full-length animated film in the action-fantasy genre titled “Altyn Adam”.
The film was produced with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Center for National Film Support.
"Altyn Adam" tells the story of a brave Saka warrior who embarks on a perilous journey to the peak of Khan Tengri in search of the mysterious Flame of Life. Along the way, he encounters loyal allies and formidable foes. Facing numerous trials, he ultimately transforms into a true warrior, ready to protect his homeland from the forces of evil.
The film is directed by Turdybek Maidan, known for his previous animated project “Muzbalak”, and Tlek Toleugazy.
The central theme of "Altyn Adam" is to demonstrate that a person can be "golden" not only in appearance but also in spirit. The film draws inspiration from the Golden Man, an extraordinary archaeological discovery from the Issyk burial mound, which holds deep cultural significance for Kazakhstan.
Designed in a 2D animation style, the film captures a vivid and colourful atmosphere of antiquity, incorporating elements of ancient murals and architecture.
"Altyn Adam" is more than just a thrilling tale of courage and selflessness—it carries a profound philosophical message that will resonate with audiences of all ages.
