08 August, 2024

The grand opening of the International Scout Rally "Nomads Camp 2024" took place in Akmola Region. Teams from 10 countries came to spend their leisure time in the wild: Azerbaijan, Japan, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Pakistan, South Korea, the USA and Sweden.

The main idea of the meeting is to unite scouts from different regions of Kazakhstan and other countries under one shanyrak to build an intercultural dialogue among young people.

For a week, scouts will live in the conditions of nomad life. First of all, the teams will have to set up yurts themselves. In seven days, they will also master the basics of Kazakh national cuisine, the art of berkutchi and folk crafts. In addition, an obstacle course, a rope park, a climbing wall, archery lessons and national games have been prepared for the residents of the ethno-camp.

The program also includes interactive platforms for the participating countries, where each team will present the culture of their homeland.
