Kazakh National Academy of Choreography in the Global Spotlight: Euronews

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography continues to strengthen its international reputation. The European news channel Euronews has featured a special report on Kazakhstan’s ballet school as part of its Modern Nomads program, which is broadcast in 160 countries worldwide.

Modern Nomads is a new editorial series on Euronews, in which a reporter explores Kazakhstan’s diverse cultural landmarks, blending modernity with tradition while offering an international perspective.

The program provides viewers with insights into national art, fashion, architecture, design, and other cultural developments in Kazakhstan.

In the episode "Rising Stars of Kazakh Ballet Conquer Astana’s Main Stage," Euronews highlights outstanding young artists who combine classical ballet with national traditions. Kazakhstan is steadily becoming a global ballet hub, with the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography playing a key role in training and developing new talents.

Among the bright representatives of this new wave is Torgyn Leben, who recently won first place at the prestigious Budapest Ballet Grand Prix – 2025. Her performance elevates national artistry to a new level, inspiring the next generation of performers.
