Astana is actively preparing for the Conference of Leaders of the CICA Volunteer Movement. It will take place in October of this year on the initiative of the President, announced during the 6th CICA Summit.

In this regard, a meeting of the organizing committee was held with the participation of Vice Minister of Culture and Information Aizada Kurmanova, CICA Deputy Secretary General Zhang Lian, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Akimat of Astana. At the meeting they discussed the program of the upcoming rally, the logistics of the participants, organizational and technical issues and security issues.

Let us remind you that the CICA Volunteer Meeting will take place on October 3-4 in Astana. 400 activists from 27 Asian countries will take part. Thematic panel sessions, educational and cultural events will be organized for them.

The purpose of the Meeting is to highlight the role of volunteering in the implementation of sustainable development goals and strengthen intercultural dialogue in Asian countries. The meeting will also become a platform for discussing important social issues.

Also, within the framework of the Meeting, the 7th meeting of the CICA Youth Council is planned, following which joint recommendations on the development of volunteering will be adopted.
