Since the beginning of the year, 339 families, 588 ethnic Kazakhs, have moved to the region. Of these, 570 people came from Uzbekistan, 10 from Tajikistan. 3 people immigrated from Russia, 5 people immigrated from other countries. And over the seven months of this year, 165 families or 599 people moved from the Turkestan region to the northern regions of the country.
"The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has allocated 7,050 quotas for 2024 throughout the republic and identified 7 regions that will provide state support to Kandas and immigrants. Among them are the Abay region, Karaganda region, Kostanay region, Pavlodar region, North Kazakhstan region, Ulytau region, East -Kazakhstan region. Based on the allocated quota, 9 families moved to the East Kazakhstan region, 3 families to the Kostanay region, 78 families to the Pavlodar region, 66 families to the North Kazakhstan region, 1 family to the Karaganda region, 6 families to the Abay region, 2 families to the Ulytau region,” said Asiya Temirbaeva.
The speaker also introduced the work being done to increase the incomes of low-income citizens in the region.
“The number of large families in the region is 185,690 people, or a quarter of all large mothers in the republic.This year, efforts to reduce poverty by increasing the income of low-income citizens continue. By 2024, it is planned to reduce the poverty level to 5.5% or 25% compared to 2023," the head of the department said.
This year, 9.6 billion tenge were allocated from the budget to provide special social assistance to 116.2 thousand residents of the region. Memorandums on reducing the poverty level were also drawn up with the akims of districts and cities, and a quarterly plan for the provision of special social assistance for 2024 was approved.
"According to data up to August 1 of this year, 14,160 families or 84,860 people received nominal social assistance, and the number of recipients of assistance decreased by 19,563 people. 4.1 billion tenge was spent on these purposes. "Compared to the same period last year, the number of low-income citizens decreased by 61 thousand 224 people or 41.9%," Asiya Temirbaeva said.
