During the official visit of Chinese leader Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan, a historic agreement was signed to open the Kazakh-Chinese Center for Agricultural Science and Education. This center, created through the joint efforts of the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin, North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev, Shakarim University and Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry (PRC), will become a unique platform for the transfer of advanced agricultural technologies and the training of highly qualified personnel for the agro-industrial complex.

A striking example of a successful partnership is the cooperation between M. Kozybayev SKU and Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry.

As part of this partnership, scientific projects on crop production and livestock breeding are being implemented. Demonstration parks have been opened on the basis of leading enterprises such as Kyzylzhar Sut LLP and Mambetov and KT, where research is conducted to improve the quality of feed, increase productivity and reproduction of farm animals.

12 bachelors and 10 master's students from the Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry (Yanling) arrived at Kozybayev University as part of academic mobility. For three months, they will acquire practical skills at leading livestock enterprises in the North Kazakhstan region and receive theoretical training in specialized disciplines.

“Our university confirms its phased joint cooperation with the Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry.I hope that you will spend your time in Petropavlovsk usefully, improve your knowledge, and gain experience working on our farms,” said Chairman of the Board-Rector Erbol Isakaev at the meeting.

The advantages of cooperation between the two universities are the active exchange of knowledge and technology, which directly affects the development of the agro-industrial complex. Students gain invaluable international experience, improve their qualifications, and learn about advanced technologies and methods used in China.
