KAZINFORM - On the eve of the World Nomad Games, Pavlodar schoolchildren set a Kazakhstan record by performing the national dance "Orteke". At the same time, 100 dombra players were puppeteering their Orteke, proclaiming the vastness of Yertys.
*Orteke is a comic dance born from observations of animal habits and is humorous in nature. This is about the puppet version of this dance (note by Qazalem).
"Orteke" is installed on a specially made stand and tied with threads to the fingers of the dombra player. When the musician begins to play the instrument, the doll begins to tap and dance thanks to the movements of the fingers on the dombra.
Last year, the Kazakh dance "Orteke" was included in the list of intangible values of UNESCO. This also reflects the fact that the world has begun to recognize the peculiarities of our national culture. The idea to set a record for Kazakhstan in the Orteke dance was suggested by the Akimat of Pavlodar.
- In order to introduce the Orteke dance to young people, including schoolchildren, we had the opportunity to invite 100 young dombra players and organize such a good cultural event, timed to coincide with Constitution Day and the opening of the World Nomad Games. Professional dombra players could have been involved here. However, our choice fell on young performers who are just starting their path in art. At the request of the Akimat, craftsmen specially made 100 orteke puppets. These products will then be distributed to local music schools and music colleges, dombra clubs in other schools and children's clubs, - says Advisor to the Mayor of Pavlodar Daniyar Zhumadilov.
The local public watched the performance of young dombra players on the stage of "Ertis Promenade", located on the bank of the Ertys River. Artists of the Kurmangazy Children's Music School of Pavlodar, the Music College - Music and School Complex-Boarding School for Gifted Children, and the Children's and Youth Club "Zhiger" took part in setting the Kazakhstan record.
According to Serik Syzdykov, director of the Music College-Boarding School for Gifted Children, "Orteke" is a genre that is used for attractiveness and clarity in musical art.
- Since ancient times, performers of Kazakh kyuis have mastered the art of "Orteke". In addition, this is an indispensable form of art created especially for children. There is another feature of our people, which shows their closeness to nature and care for wild animals. Educational organizations gathered talented children and successfully performed the melodies "Karazhorga", "Salkuren", "Sekirtpe" on stage. We are happy to achieve such a record on the eve of the start of the Nomad Games. This is a historic event for the Pavlodar art of the Irtysh region, - says Serik Kasymkhanuly.
(KINES) The official representative of the Book of Records of Kazakhstan Kuandik Kudaibergenov congratulated the Pavlodar residents on the new record and presented certificates to representatives of the aforementioned schools.
