The World Nomad Games, which will be held in Astana from September 8 to 13, promise to be a real celebration of culture and traditions. As part of this large-scale event, the ethno-village "Koshpendiler Alemi" will be set up on 10 hectares near the Kazanat hippodrome, where everyone will be able to immerse themselves in the rich world of the Kazakh people and get acquainted with the unique culture of nomadic peoples, the official website of the capital's akimat reports.
On September 7, from 11:00, the ethno-village "Koshpendiler Alemi" will open its gates, inviting all guests to a stunning opening. The ethno-village will be divided into several locations: a central square, a children's playground for national games, a tent for folk music, an open-air museum of nomadic civilizations, sports events, national cuisine, the main stage, regional ethno-settlements, artisans and a special town with an oriental market. A real oriental bazaar will also be organized on the territory of the ethno-village, where you can find many souvenirs. More than two hundred artisans of the country will present their products.
Every day in the ethno-village will begin with a grand parade "Shattyk kerueni", which will be a bright start to the day, demonstrating the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the Kazakh people.
On the main stage of "Oner Ordasy" every day from 12:00 to 17:00 there will be concerts "Dumandy Dala", representing the best regional groups from all over the country. Ethno-folklore ensembles, Kazakh national orchestras, soloists and dance groups will perform in traditional ethnic style.
In the evening program at 18:00, guests will enjoy the gala concerts "Uly dala uni", which will end with grand performances by artists of the Kazakh stage and international groups, including the instrumental duet "Arkaim", the song and dance ensemble "Birlik" and the soloist of dances of the peoples of the world Anel Marabayeva, the ethno-groups "Khazar", "Steppe Sons", the project "The Nomads Fire" and multi-instrumentalist Edil Khusainov.
All concerts on the main stage of "Oner Ordasy" are open to the public.
The ethno-aul will feature restaurants of Kazakh national cuisine, where tourists and guests will be able to enjoy traditional and national cuisine.
For children, there is a playground "Balalar Alany", where they can have a fun and educational time.
At the same time, 4 ethno-villages in different districts will be involved in the Nomad Games.
In the Yesil district, the ethno-village will be located on the square of the "Baiterek" monument.
In the Almaty district, the ethno-village will be located near the "Kazakh Eli" monument.
In the Baikonur district, the ethno-village will be built in the "Atatyurk" park.
In the Nura district, the ethno-village will be located in the Central Park.
The concert program will be held in the ethno-villages every evening from 18:00 to 20:00 from September 8 to September 13.
In order to provide residents and guests of the capital with public transport to the venues of the World Nomad Games, the traffic patterns of routes No. 18, 37, 303, 323 have been temporarily changed until September 15 inclusive.
Residents of the capital are asked to plan their route in advance.
