Australia and Kazakhstan to battle for gold in traditional archery

KAZINFORM - The Kazakhstan team has reached the finals of the traditional team archery competition at the V World Nomad Games in the capital.

Teams from 16 countries took part in the team competition. The team will include 3 men and 2 women. Each participant is given 1 chance out of 3 shots within 5 minutes. For each arrow hit, the team gets 1 point.

Azhar Toleukanova, Aikorkem Batikhan, Kanat Kasymkhan, Marat Beksultan, Maksat Abdikerimov competed in the Kazakhstan group and reached the finals. Now the Kazakhstan archers will compete for the gold medal with the Australian team in the finals. Today, the Russian and Spanish teams will compete for third place.

Recall that on the first day of the competition, Zhanibek Kulmyrzayev won the gold medal in the Puta target.

At the same time, Kazakhstani sniper Erbol Tapenov won silver, Kanat Kasymkhan won two bronzes, and Aikorkem Batikhan won another bronze. 
Yesterday, Zhanibek Kulmyrzayev and Bakbergen Salimov won bronze medals in the Zhamby target. 

Before the traditional archery, the head coach of the Kazakhstan national team, Dias Akhmetov, spoke about the complexity of these competitions.
