Today, the annual international conference on cybersecurity KazHakhStan-2024 has started. The first day of the conference is devoted to a comprehensive discussion of the national policy in the field of cybersecurity, as well as legislative issues and regulations related to data protection.
The event included a panel session on the topic: "Digital Shield of the Turkic World: Partnership for Greater Security". The speakers discussed how the countries of the Turkic world can unite to ensure digital security.
Deputy Chairman of the Information Security Committee of the MCRIAP RK Umitzhan Arykbekova spoke about the development of coordination and cooperation with industry organizations to quickly respond to cyber attacks and the creation of mechanisms for the prompt exchange of information on cyber threats and incidents.
According to her, an important aspect for us is the development of coordination and cooperation with industry organizations to quickly respond to cyber attacks and threats. This includes joint participation in exercises and simulations.
From Kazakhstan's perspective, the international approach to cybersecurity involves active cooperation with other Turkic-speaking states to ensure stability and security in cyberspace.
"Kazakhstan aims to create mechanisms for the prompt exchange of information on cyber threats and incidents, which will allow for more effective protection of infrastructure and data.Our country supports the creation of educational programs and research centers that will develop competencies in the field of cybersecurity and train qualified personnel to solve current problems,” shared Deputy Chairman of the Information Security Committee of the MCRIAP RK Umitzhan Arykbekova.
Thus, Kazakhstan sees its role as an active partner in the formation of a unified regional approach to cybersecurity, which helps strengthen the overall level of protection and ensure stability in cyberspace.
