Astana hosted the Local Youth Conference on Climate Change - LCOY Kazakhstan-2024, which is being held at NU. At the annual conference, young leaders, students, researchers and experts from all over Kazakhstan shared their vision for addressing issues in the field of climate change and sustainable development. 

NU, being the National Country Office of SDSN - the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network in Kazakhstan, unites 25 Kazakhstani universities and research institutes, including KazNU, SDU, KAZNARU, KBTU and others, to promote dialogue on developing practical solutions and developing research to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As NU Provost Adesida Ilesanmi noted in his speech, NU is committed to the principles of sustainable development and combating climate change.
