Acting Chairman of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Samat Tyulegenov met with representatives of the Main Veterinary Administration of Mongolia Batsukh Basaan and Delgermaa Basaan.
During the meeting, key issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine were discussed, including the export of breeding sheep from Kazakhstan to Mongolia.
In August of this year, the departments of the two countries agreed on a veterinary certificate for exported commercial and breeding sheep and goats. In early September, Mongolian representatives inspected and assessed the risks of farms in the Turkestan region for compliance with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of Mongolia.
The structure of the veterinary service and the veterinary and preventive measures carried out by the country were assessed positively.
The parties also discussed a draft of a new memorandum of understanding between the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of Mongolia and agreed to exchange experience between veterinary specialists and employees of national veterinary laboratories.
