According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to June 2024, 566.5 thousand foreign tourists visited Kazakhstan, which is 50.7 thousand people more than in the same period in 2023, when 515.8 thousand foreigners arrived in the country.

According to statistics, the geography of foreign tourists visiting our country is expanding every year. For example, in addition to our closest neighbors, travelers from far abroad countries began to come to Kazakhstan. In this regard, we offer you a selection of the top 5 countries by the number of tourists who visited our country in the first half of 2024.

The largest number of travelers during this period arrived from the Russian Federation - 186.1 thousand people. Chinese tourists took second place - 69,918 people. Tourists from India are in third place (53,695 people). The top 5 also included travelers from Turkey (30,312) and the United States (19,597).

“The increase in the number of foreign tourists, especially from countries such as India, Turkey and the United States, indicates that Kazakhstan is becoming an increasingly attractive destination on the world tourism map. We continue to develop tourism infrastructure and create favorable conditions for travelers from all over the world,” said Nurtas Karipbayev, Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee.
