Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, welcoming Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the leaders of the Central Asian states and the heads of German companies, said that the second meeting in the Central Asia – Germany format opened a new stage in the development of multifaceted partnership. The President noted that the thorough exchange of views that took place reinforced the mutual interest of the leaders in further deepening cooperation.
- I would like to express special gratitude to the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, which invariably acts as an important link between Germany and the countries of the region. Germany is one of the world leaders in the field of economic and technological innovation, and its products are famous for their quality. In turn, Central Asia is a dynamically developing region with huge growth potential and wide opportunities for mutually beneficial partnership. Connecting East and West, North and South, Central Asia can become a center of attraction for technology transfer, localization of production and the release of products with high added value. Therefore, we are open to cooperation in various industries. Great prospects for further deepening cooperation are opening up in such areas as the extraction of critical raw materials, energy, transport and logistics, finance, agriculture and information technology, the Head of our state emphasized.
The President noted that the meeting participants had an excellent opportunity to discuss ways to further strengthen cooperation in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that the exchange of ideas and experience would contribute to the comprehensive progress of the countries of the region.
In conclusion, the Head of our state thanked the participants of the meeting for an open and meaningful dialogue. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev supported the proposal to create an economic council, which could play a more active role in attracting German investment and serve as a stable institutional basis for interaction between the countries of Central Asia and Germany.
