An exhibition of the famous British sculptor, member of the Royal Academy of Arts Yunus Safardiar entitled "The Second Ascent" has opened in the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A unique exposition weighing about 2 tons was delivered to Astana, each sculpture of which is a real work of art.
Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erbol Alikulov made a welcoming speech, noting the importance of this event.
"We are glad that residents and guests of our capital will be able to see the works of such a famous sculptor. This contributes not only to the enrichment of culture, but also to the strengthening of international dialogue," said Erbol Alikulov.
The exposition includes large sculptures, the heaviest of which weighs 350 kg. "The Second Ascent" is a dynamic reflection of civilizational changes, decay and transformation of forms.
"My works are a reflection of the endless transformation of the world. I want viewers to see how old forms disappear, and new ones arise, creating something absolutely unique," the author of the exhibition noted.
Safardiar's works have been exhibited all over the world: from London to New York, from St. Petersburg to Florida, and today they are available to residents of Astana. His masterpieces were sold at the prestigious Sotheby's auction, and the sculpture "Awakening" decorates the legendary Regent's Park in London.
The exhibition is held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the address: Tauelsizdik Street, 54.
