A new season of the literary competition "Altyn Kalam" has started in Kazakhstan. This year it will be 15 years old, Kazinform agency reports.

The competition works will be accepted until November 20, 2024.

This year, competition works are accepted only in Kazakh.

Literary works can be sent to the address of the organizing committee (hidden)

All information about the competition can be found on the website www.aqalam.kz. All competition works will be exhibited here and voting will be conducted in the following nominations:

1. Best poetry of the year;

2. Best prose of the year;

3. Best children's and teenage literature of the year;

4. Best satire of the year;

5. Best science fiction and detective of the year;

6. Best screenplay and drama of the year.

At the first stage of the competition, the selection of candidates will take place on the website www.aqalam.kz. Anyone can vote for their favorite work.

Online voting will last until November 20, 2024.

The final list of contenders for victory in each nomination will be determined by the jury, which will take into account, among other things, the largest number of votes received from readers of the site.

The winners of the Altyn Kalam 2024 competition will be announced in December 2024 at the official awards ceremony.
