The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is discussing the development of a new package of amendments aimed at strengthening migration control. This was announced by the Chairman of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Aslan Atalykov at a briefing at the Central Communications Service, a correspondent of the Kazinform agency reports.
According to the speaker, the current procedure for deporting foreigners is being revised today.
- This procedure is currently very complicated. The entire process of deporting foreigners takes a long time (collecting materials, loading materials in courts, maintenance and housing of a foreigner, etc.). There are plans to introduce a new institution of deportation, allowing obvious and malicious violators to be deported from Kazakhstan more quickly, - A. Atalykov informed.
The issues of returning the institution of registration of foreigners are also being considered, which will apply not to tourists, but to those who intend to stay in Kazakhstan for more than 30 days.
- The mechanism and procedure for registering foreigners is planned to be simplified, using information technology. The Institute of Registration of Foreigners will create effective conditions for the implementation of migration control. Of course, it will be necessary to tighten administrative responsibility for fictitious registration. At the same time, this element of control will not affect the tourist attractiveness of the country, - the head of the Committee added.
Earlier it was reported that almost eight thousand foreigners were expelled from Kazakhstan since the beginning of the year.
How Kazakhstanis make money on fictitious registration of foreigners in their apartments, said the Chairman of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aslan Atalykov.
