Today, the 1st (school) stage of the second Republican Olympiad in general education subjects for students of rural schools began. A record number of participants registered for the Olympiad - more than 113 thousand students of grades 9-11 (12), which is 34 thousand more than last year. 

The intellectual competition will be held in four stages in 13 subjects in the natural sciences, mathematics, and social sciences and humanities: 

Stage I (qualifying) - September 2024; 

Stage II (district) - October 2024; 

Stage III (regional) - November 2024; 

Stage IV (republican) - December 2024. 

At the same time, the winners of last year's Olympiad in the relevant subject are allowed to participate in the republican stage of the current Olympiad out of competition, with mandatory participation in all stages of the Olympiad.
Registration for the school stage took place on the website auyl.daryn.kz, and the stage itself will end on September 28, 2024.

Let us recall that the Republican Olympiad in general education subjects for students of rural schools was held for the first time last academic year on the initiative of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is aimed at identifying and strengthening the abilities of gifted and talented children from remote settlements of Kazakhstan. Thus, according to the results of the first year of the Olympiad, the number of rural schoolchildren who won prizes increased almost 8 times.

Reference: During the Olympiad, rural schoolchildren receive full support and are enrolled in the republican correspondence school "Daryn" to prepare for future intellectual competitions. It should be noted that the winners of the Olympiad will receive grants at the country's leading educational institutions.
