The winners of the international competition for the publication of the book "Uly Dala 2024" have been announced, El.kz news agency reports.
The winners of the international competition "Uly Dala" 2024, established by the "Otandastar Qory" and the Republican public association "Union of Writers of Kazakhstan" for the publication of a collection of historical, artistic and literary works, scientific research written about the history of migration, life, traditions, literature and culture, art of ethnic Kazakhs who migrated to different parts of the world at one time, have been announced.
Applications were accepted until June 1, 2024. 22 works were submitted to the competition. An expert committee consisting of famous poets, writers, scientists and public figures carefully reviewed the manuscripts and decided to publish 9 works from the mentioned works in book form.

“Tazhikstandagy kazakhtar” (historical scientific work) – Abdusattar Nuraliev (Tajikistan);
“Akikattyn dami aschy” (poems) – Zharaskan Myrzamuratuly (Uzbekistan);
“Kimdi kinalarsyn...” (stories and short stories) – Erbakhyt Nusipuly (Mongolia);
"Urpagyn uzilmesin" (stories) - Mukhtasyrov Pioneer Soltanovich (Russia);
"Karasu zhyrlary" (poems) - Lala Zhuniskyzy Zhumanova (Uzbekistan);
"Orikti kole" (stories) - Eleusiz Mukhamadiuly (Mongolia);
"Aytaghaly salt atty" (work of fiction) - Baman Kurmanhanuly (Mongolia)
The purpose of the competition is to show our national history and culture from a new side by publishing the works of famous foreign and Kazakh poets, scientists and artists; to acquaint the general public of Kazakhstan with the names and works of famous ethnic Kazakhs abroad; to instill in the younger generation an interest in our native history and culture, modernizing the national consciousness.
