An exhibition by Aizhan Bekkulova has opened at the State Museum of Arts

The opening of the personal exhibition of the Cavalier of the Order of "Kurmet", Chairman of the Union of Craftsmen of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aizhan Bekkulova - "The Life of Remarkable People" took place in the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Abylkhan Kasteyev. It was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the famous Kazakhstani artist.

The exhibition was opened by the director of the museum Gulaim Zhumabekova, who solemnly presented a congratulatory letter from the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva.

"Your participation in many foreign exhibitions is indisputable proof of your professionalism as a master of your craft and international recognition of your work. Each of your works not only deeply explains the traditions and cultural characteristics of the region, but also inspires a new generation of artists and artisans," Aida Balayeva noted in the letter.

The exhibition presents more than a hundred works created by Aizhan Bekkulova from the 1990s to the present.

The exhibition presents in retrospect: weaving, felting, sacred dolls, jewelry, ethnic clothing, as well as works created in collaboration with other craftsmen and artists - from metal, ceramics, wood and felt.

The exhibition will last until November 5, 2024.
