Today, the 22nd meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was held in Astana.
It was attended by delegates from Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Taoism, Shintoism, Baha'i, as well as representatives of international organizations and religious associations of Kazakhstan.
The meeting participants exchanged views on jointly overcoming modern challenges, discussed issues related to the progress of the Concept for the Development of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033, and determined the agenda for the upcoming 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
During their speeches, the spiritual representatives emphasized the importance of consolidating the efforts of all religious and international organizations to preserve peace, strengthen dialogue and a culture of mutual respect.
As a result, Goodwill Ambassadors were elected and a ceremony of awarding honorary medals to clergy representatives was held.
It should be noted that another important initiative within the framework of the Concept for the Development of the Congress is the holding of the Forum of Young Religious Leaders, which will take place on October 9 in Astana.
