Maira Mukhamedkyzy, one of the brightest and most significant opera singers of Kazakhstan, celebrated her 30th anniversary on the stage of the Astana Opera with a grand concert, which was sold out with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Maira Mukhamedkyzy presented the audience with a unique program, which included works from the world and national repertoire.
The opera diva performed arias from operas by great composers such as Richard Strauss, Franz Liszt, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, as well as works by Kazakh authors, which gave the concert a special national flavor.
Accompanied by the Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra and Choir, under the direction of conductors A. Mukhitdin and M. Omirzak, the concert became a living embodiment of her many years of creativity.
It is especially worth noting the number "Olieb, solangduliebenkannst", which the famous singer presented together with her long-time friend Temirzhan Yerzhanov from the USA, it caused real delight among the audience. And the heartfelt performance of arias from operas by Georges Bizet, Charles Gounod and Giuseppe Verdi allowed to reveal all the emotional depth and artistry of Maira Mukhamedkyzy. Stormy applause also sounded after the fragment "O Fortuna" from "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff, accompanied by a symphony orchestra and choir.
Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of many awards and holder of prestigious awards, she represented Kazakh opera art on the world stage for many years.
The concert, directed by Mikhail Pandzhavidze, also featured the children's choir of the theater, leading soloists of the Astana Opera ballet Anel Rustemova, Olzhas Tarlanov, Dias Kurmangazy, famous Kazakhstani artists Oraz Mukhamedyar, Zhumabek Kantarbayev, Aibek Kanatbek, Ramina Satybaldy and many others.
The gala evening, which was a kaleidoscope of all the singer's musical activities over these three decades, ended with a grand finale - a scene from the opera "Domalak Ana" by T. Zharmukhamet. The final note of this evening will be remembered for a long time by everyone who witnessed this outstanding cultural event.
