In Astana, in the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue, an international conference on the topic "Spiritual Harmony: Origins, Status, Prospects" was held, timed to coincide with the Day of Spiritual Harmony.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies and religious associations. Also, Deputy Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, Bishop Joe Bailey Wells, Director General of the Institute for Islamic Studies of the International Islamic University Islamabad, Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Ha, Professor of the Somaya Vidyavihar University Rudraksha Sakrikar and a representative of the World Community of Buddhists, Dr. Arifin Yama, joined in an online format.
The conference discussed issues of strengthening spiritual harmony and cooperation, maintaining stability, as well as promoting the principle of tolerance between different ethnic groups and faiths.
The participants noted that the conference is an important step towards strengthening trust and mutual understanding between spiritual communities, cultures and generations.
