On October 22, 2024, the second Kazakhstan-Afghan Business Forum was held in Almaty, following which 23 documents on trade and economic cooperation were signed for a total of 317.6 million US dollars. The event was attended by more than 300 delegates from Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
The forum included B2B meetings where new areas of cooperation were discussed. Among the signed agreements, six Kazakhstani companies signed contracts with the Afghan side for the supply of flour and grain, the total amount of which will amount to more than 37 million US dollars.
In addition, memorandums were signed on the supply of grain products worth 179 million dollars. Contracts were also signed for the supply of rapeseed, sunflower and soybeans, which will strengthen economic ties and open up new business opportunities for both countries.
