KazRockets is proud to announce the start of registration for SpaceHack 2024, a scientific research hackathon organized with the support of RocketTech. The hackathon is dedicated to the development of innovative ideas for the colonization of space and provides students of grades 7-12 with the opportunity to present their projects at the international competition NSS Space Settlement Contest 2025.

About SpaceHack 2024

SpaceHack 2024 is aimed at students of grades 7-12 who will develop unique solutions for the creation of permanent settlements in space. The event is aimed at developing engineering skills, critical thinking and a creative approach to solving global space problems. Participants will be able to demonstrate their developments and represent Kazakhstan on the international stage.

Format and participation

The hackathon will be held online, but for the convenience of participants, special gathering places will be organized in 17 regions of Kazakhstan, where teams can gather to work on projects. These regional hubs, including Astana Hub, will provide a space for participants to interact and receive support from mentors.

Registration for the hackathon is free and open until December 8, 2024. To apply, visit the KazRockets website and fill out the registration form. Space is limited, so it is recommended to register in advance.

Prizes and Opportunities

The winners of SpaceHack 2024 will have the opportunity to present their projects at the international NSS Space Settlement Contest 2025 in the USA, as well as valuable prizes and support for further development of their ideas.This is a unique chance for schoolchildren to contribute to the development of space technologies and innovations.

SpaceHack 2024 is supported by leading companies and educational institutions, including RocketTech. Important mentoring support in the hackathon is provided by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations of the Aerospace Industry (MDDIAI) and Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary (KGS), who will help participants at all stages of work on projects, providing valuable recommendations and expert support.
