The head of state received the President of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Marius Vizer

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to Marius Vizer for his contribution to the development and popularization of judo. According to him, this sport is of great interest in Kazakhstan, especially among children and young people.

In turn, Marius Vizer thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his personal support for the development of judo in Kazakhstan.

He said that in Astana, with the support of the International Judo Federation, it is planned to open the IJF Academy, which will become one of the centers for training high-class coaches and judges in the region.

The meeting participants exchanged views on the prospects for long-term cooperation between Kazakhstan and the International Judo Federation, and also discussed preparations for the World Judo Championship, which will be held in our country in 2027.

In conclusion, the Head of State awarded Marius Vizer with the Order of Dostyk, II degree, for his contribution to the promotion of judo in Kazakhstan.
