In Almaty, on the stage of the Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic named after Zhambyl, a concert of the Academic Folklore and Ethnographic Orchestra "Otyrar Sazy" named after N. Tlendiev was held. The event was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the people's poet, singer and composer, founder of the Zhetysu professional school of song "Alataudyn Bulbul" Kenen Azerbayev.
The concert program included works by Kenen Azerbayev, such as "Kordai", "Anama", "Boztorgai", as well as other works by Nurgisa Tlendiev and modern Kazakhstani composers. One of the brightest followers of Kenen Azerbayev's work, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, singer and composer Altynbek Korazbayev, also performed on stage and spoke about the significance of the work and life of the Kazakh poet.
In addition to him, the concert was attended by People's Artist of Kazakhstan Ramazan Stamgaziyev, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Zhanpeisov, Excellent Worker of Culture Sholpan Darzhanova, Beibit Musayev, as well as soloists of the Philharmonic.
The orchestra was conducted by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Zhalgasbek Begendykov, and artistic direction was carried out by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Dinzuhra Tlendieva.
The descendants of Kenen Azerbayev, led by Tortken Kenenovna, who actively popularizes the poet's work among a wide audience, took part in the festive concert.
