Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, who arrived in Astana on a working visit.
During the talks, the state and prospects of the Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership were discussed, as well as the schedule of upcoming visits at the highest and highest levels.
Special attention was paid to the preparation of the upcoming state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan. In this regard, the Ministers stressed the importance of high-level meetings and negotiations to strengthen strategic partnership and alliance.
The sides also exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda, cooperation within the framework of international organizations and integration associations.
Following the meeting, the heads of the Foreign Ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia signed an Action Plan for cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2025-2026.
