The Silk Road railway tour is opening in Kazakhstan. The first trip on the Almaty-Turkestan-Tashkent-Almaty route will start on November 16, 2024.
The international railway tour will allow tourists to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of ancient cities and travel along the Great Silk Road in 4 days.
The route includes the key sights of Turkestan and Tashkent. For the convenience of tourists, the tour program includes a guide, meals, transportation services and entrance tickets.
“As a result of joint efforts, we managed to create a unique railway tour that connects the two countries. Travel will become more comfortable and accessible for our citizens and tourists from other countries who want to learn about the rich spiritual and historical heritage. This is an important step in the development of tourism and strengthening of cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan,” said Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev.
Travelers will be able to see one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia - Otyrar, which was an important trading link. The tour program also includes a visit to the Arystan-baba mausoleum, the Azret Sultan historical and cultural reserve-museum, the largest of its kind tourist complex in Central Asia, Caravanserai. In Tashkent, tour participants are given the opportunity to get acquainted not only with historical sites, but also with the modern development of the city.
Note that the International Tour is launched by JSC Passenger Transportation together with TauKomek Travel, Turan Kazakhstan Travel, Grand Soluxe Travel Company, SkyWay Travel, Kompas, Khan Turan Travel. In turn, JSC NC Kazakh Tourism will promote the route at the international level.
