The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan is hosting the exhibition “The Second Ascent” by the famous British sculptor Yunus Safardiyar.
For this, 2 tons of exhibits were delivered to Astana from London: metal installations and sculptures, canvases, video canvases.
“My works are a reflection of the endless transformation of the world. I want viewers to see how old forms disappear and new ones arise, creating something absolutely unique,” the author of the exhibition notes.
Yunus Safardiyar is a member of the Royal Academy of Arts. Exhibitions and auction sales of his works have been held since 1986. The sculptor’s works are stored in museum and private collections around the world: in New York, London, Florida, St. Petersburg, etc. Several of his works were sold at the oldest Sotheby’s auction, and the sculpture “Awakening” adorns the legendary Regent’s Park in London.
Since the opening of the exhibition at the National Museum, more than 3.5 thousand people have visited it. The exposition is presented in the exhibition hall on the 5th floor. The exhibition will last until November 17, 2024.
