National relics presented at virtual exhibition Google Arts & Culture

The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented 10 exhibits from its collection at the virtual exhibition "Common Heritage of the Silk Road". The project was implemented by the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty.

It is worth noting that Google Arts & Culture is an online platform with high-resolution images and videos of works of art and cultural artifacts from partner cultural organizations around the world, managed by Google.

Currently, the service team cooperates with more than 2,000 cultural institutions in at least 80 countries. Visitors will be able to find copies of works of art, information about architectural monuments and UNESCO World Heritage sites. The site also hosts digital exhibitions that allow you to look into the archives of cultural institutions around the world.

The virtual exhibition “Shared Heritage of the Silk Roads” consists of 60 outstanding museum exhibits showcasing the cultural heritage of the Silk Roads from national museums of Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
