The XII International Book and Printing Exhibition "Along the Great Silk Road-2024" has started in Almaty. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the International Exhibition Company "Atakent-Expo" and the Association of Publishers, Printers and Book Distributors of Kazakhstan.

The event is attended by writers, publishers, printing companies and libraries from Kazakhstan, Germany, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Iran.

The purpose of the exhibition is to popularize modern books, strengthen the Kazakh book industry, exchange experience between market participants, and support domestic producers in the national book market. The event also contributed to the development of cultural and business ties between publishing, printing and bookselling companies from different countries, expansion of international cooperation and the introduction of modern technologies in book publishing, printing and book distribution.

The exhibition included presentations of new publications by leading Kazakhstani publishing houses such as Atamura, Almatykitap, Mektep, Arman-PV, Daryn, Adal Kitap and Smart University. Particular attention was drawn to the presentation of a collection of poems, Balbaltas, by the famous poet and laureate of the Alash International Literary Prize, Maraltai Raiymbekuly.

The international exhibition will run until November 22.
