The European television channel Euronews is set to present a new episode of its "Modern Nomads" program dedicated to the winter tourism potential of Kazakhstan. Scheduled to air this February, the episode will be broadcast in 11 languages, reaching an international audience across more than 160 countries. The Kazakh Tourism National Company, in collaboration with the Shymbulak Mountain Resort, the Ile-Alatau National Park, and Auyl Restaurant, provided comprehensive support in organising and conducting the filming process.
The program focuses on the infrastructure and development of the Almaty Mountain Cluster. The Euronews creative team visited Shymbulak, one of Central Asia’s premier winter destinations, to feature its modern cable car systems, slopes of varying difficulty levels, and the extensive tourism infrastructure across the resort complex.
Particular attention is also given to the scenic beauty of the Big Almaty Lake, one of the most recognizable natural landmarks in the region.
The gastronomic appeal of Almaty is represented by Auyl Restaurant, which has been featured in the prestigious international 50 Best Discovery selection. Viewers will be introduced to a modern interpretation of national cuisine and the rich gastronomic traditions of Kazakhstan.
With a total global reach of over 400 million viewers, the broadcast on Euronews will allow a broad international audience to gain a deeper insight into Kazakhstan as an attractive destination for winter tourism.
