The anniversary marathon dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory has started.

The first event within the marathon was the Evening of Brass Music — a real celebration of sound, where the audience was immersed in a variety of genres and styles, from classical to contemporary, performed by student groups.

The whole world of brass music was presented on stage: trumpet ensembles, sophisticated flutists, bright clarinettists, a harmonious brass quintet and, of course, a mighty brass band. Each performance is a separate story, imbued with skill and inspiration.

The special guest of the concert was the Quintet of Woodwind Instruments of the Kazakh National University of Arts named after K. Baiseitova under the direction of the laureate of the state prize "Daryn" Kalkaman Duisenbaev, who congratulated the conservatory on its anniversary and wished it further success.

The anniversary marathon will run until December 3 and will end with a grand gala concert on the stage of the Palace of the Republic.

The audience will see performances by star groups, brilliant soloists and outstanding graduates of the conservatory.
